I installed 10.04 along side Windows XP. My keyboard doesnt work to select either Ubuntu or XP. Once everything loads, I'm ok and everything works.

Is it a USB keyboard (including a wireless one with a USB dongle)? Is it enabled in BIOS setup? I don't know how old your computer is but you used to have to do that.

That's most likely it. It will probably be called "Legacy USB support" or the like.
