View Full Version : problems installing easyubuntu

i followed all the steps for easy ubuntu but at the last command which is 'gksudo python easyubuntu/trunk/easyubuntu.py' i get an error message that there is no such file. i can't seem to launch easyubuntu! help!

ok, I don't use easy ubuntu but I tried it once. Take the easy ubuntu file. Put it on your desktop. Then right click it and select, "Extract Here." Then go under the Easy Ubuntu file and then double click the Easy Ubuntu file. You should get a menu and then select "Run." Hope it works :)

There is some kind of problem with using gksudo, it works fine with sudo.

ok so i did ' sudo' and everything was fine. i installed the ati driver for 3d acceleration but when i rebooted i got the now very familiar x server failure message. had to revert back to using generic vesa again.is there anyway around this or can't my graphics card take it? my card is ati radeon x550. thanks
