Do you mean Google Voice and Video Chat? - http://www.google.com/chat/video

The Google Talk program does not have an installer for Ubuntu, so you cannot use it.

You can use Google Voice and Video Chat as arochester suggests.

I would suggest that you use Empathy, which is installed by default on Ubuntu, and which will bring you all the functionality of Google Talk and Google Voice and Video Chat.

yes, thanks for this replay, now we can start using this Empathy, but my friends are using Google talk on windows XP, so is there any so any chance we can use Empathy on our side and they are using Google talk on their side ?, is there any chance for interconnectivity with these softwares

Yes, you can do that. You don't have to be using the same chat program to talk to each other :-) So, you can use Empathy and your friend can use Google Talk.

You can use Google Talk with Wine, but it's somewhat buggy.

I use pidgin for that. Emphaty is somehow quite buggy on my side.
