Hi ,
I am trying to install ubuntu 10.10 using live USB, the problem is that installer is not recognizing existing partition table. It shows whole of my hard disk as single partition. I am not able to see "install along side other operating system" though I have XP installed. I already have Ubuntu 8.04 installed and running. I can mount the existing partitions but installer seems not recognizing them . Can you please help me in installation.

Thanks in advance,
Kris.

Welcome to ubuntuforums.
How many primary partitions does your system have? There is a maximum of 4.

Hi Quakers,

Thanks for the reply. I am sorry but I don't know to check how may primary partition are there on my disk. I have attached the screen shot of disk utility. Can you please look at it . Is my partition corrupt? Its showing wrong free space(in order of several TB). Is there a way to get around?

Thanks in advance,
Kris.
