I use gedit for octave/matlab programming and really love the embedded terminal feature in the gedit-plugins package :D

I use the embedded terminal to run octave when editing code. However, many actions, among them basic ones like declaring a vector give the following result

Everything works fine in the terminal itself.

>> v = [5 3 7 6]
WARNING: terminal is not fully functional
