I'm surprised this isn't easy.

I want to make a photo slideshow with a minimum of effort. However, I want to be able to determine the presentation order of the images, & that's where I quickly get into trouble. In nautilus trying to move images around has no real effect, unlike in Windows. Eye of Gnome & FSpot only seem capable of displaying the images in alphabetical order, or by size/type/date etc. I don't want to change all the names by numbering them, besides being an ugly hack I may want to change the order later.

The best I've found so far is "feh". I make a file list which it's able to show, but that's still not graphical & editing the file is a bit of a pain if I have a lot of changes to make.

Any ideas?

Have a look at imagination, it's a DVD slide show maker, it's in the repositories.
