G'day ppl, 1st thread.

scenario:
I use Mumble voice comms and set PTT (push to talk) on my Logitech G5 as "Button 8" - this works fine when Mumble has focus.
Now, I also Play Urban Terror and this then takes focus thus rendering my PTT mouse key inoperable. btw mouse "button 8" converts to "aux2" in urban terror.
I have tried to put "aux2" into the mumble settings for PTT with no luck at all.

Is there a way around this? eg being able to use the PTT whilst in game

Ubuntu 10.04LTS fully upgraded yesterday 10/10/2010

Can you set a voice command to be Alt-Tab?

Yes, I can set Alt-tab to be the PTT key in mumble.

What is the relevance of doing so?

As a rule, I use a belkin nostromo n52te for all my movement in game, .: my left hand is no where near the main keyboard.

Alt-tab changes the focus, and it appeared that you wanted to change the focus. Or perhaps I didn't understand your question.

I wish to use a PTT key set in mumble (mouse button 8) with Urban Terror (fullscreen Game).

At the moment, when running Urban Terror, it does not allow the PTT key to function as "mouse button 8", instead when in game the same button is designated as "aux2".

If I go into mumble settings, I cannot set "aux2" as PTT.

So I am looking for a way to have mumble working whilst in game.

Does that clarify things ?

Cheers
