quake 3 demo problem

i have managed to install and get this running. But the problem is tht its bledi darn slow. it gets worse when i increase the window size. cant play on even the smallest size tho.i know it must work, cuz ut2004demo does and quake 3 arena-full version worked fine on WinXP.

i would really appreciate some help in getting this sorted out.I have an IBM R51 running breezy, with an intel integrated grafix card. im sure my grafix card is good enough atleast to play q3, heard otherwise regarding q4.

Im no pro, but im not sure how well the intel graphic chips are suported in linux. There may be a fix for you, but I would sugest looking for a good price on a nvidia card. - hey you might even be able to get up to par for quake 4 :)
