Anybody gotten Glest 2.0 sources to work? The same with the newest SMW:

Glest is a very good game, and Ive been quiet surprised by it. Im sure that an update to this game will be as much enjoyable.

as far as SMW, havent played it so I dont know much of it.

I just tried the version 2.0 with wine since i have not find such version for linux and seem very good.

Edit: lol ok, i just found the 2.0 sources. I was looking in the wrong place. :P

Well I found a deb repository with SMW - very fun, if only there was multiplayer support (I mean network play).

A guy on happypenguin.org (comments to Glest) wrote some stuff about compiling the Glest sources. Also, other guy will make an Ubuntu package (Glest forums).

Ok. Im back on this.

Has anyone tried the binary? How do I run the game? I cant get the repo to work so I got the binary.

Keep in mind that there is no network play yet :( This game would be fun to play through the internet.
