Linux Family Photo Calendar Maker

Scribus has a calendar template in it's scribus-templates package; the trouble is that Scribus is a full-blown Desktop Publishing (DTP) app, not simply a calendar maker, so it's a fairly complex program.

Still, it's one way to start. You'd need to edit your photos in GIMP, then import them to Scribus and do the layout there.
