Hi,

I am trying to install ubuntu 10.04 on a Toshiba Satellite C650 laptop, but when it gets to the step where it detects the network adaptor, it can't find one.

It has one, as on the pre-installed windows 7 (hiss!) the internet works fine.

I just skipped this step as I was hoping I would be able to get it working once it was installed. Will this be the case?

How can I get it working?

Cheers,

Sam

If you have a desktop open a terminal and enter the command
ifconfig and post the output also what kind of connection setup do you have? Dial-up,ADSL,wireless.....do you have a router?
