I created this post on setting up keylogging and auto screen shots. It was jailed because folks could possibly use it mailicously.
My contention is this. There are other keylogging posts out there already on this forum. I used the information from those to make my own consolidated post. Keylogging is legitimate so long as it is on your own PC.
Windows has many wonderful keylogging programs both free and for purchase. Linux for the most part has nothing similar or nearly as advanced for the average user/parent. For example KGB Keylogger on windows.
We can not control how people will use this information. There are other posts regarding keylogging. There are also many posts on Riping DVDs. Similarly we can not gaurantee that someone won't rip a movie for which they do not own.
I believe this information could be beneficial to parents or people who want to monitor their own PCs. They way I have implemented keylogging and screen shots is not a very secrective way. For example I didn't use hidden directories or mess with default non-root permissions. The system owner (root) has full access to all of the data.
It was jailed by cariboo907 last night whom I've been replying with today.
