View Full Version : [ubuntu] ubuntu on guide/hfs/hfs+

This is my second attempt and I've gained some useful information from the first time around, but I have some questions regarding ubuntus partitions.

All of my hardware is supported by ubuntu AND os x (it should be noted I'm not using a moded version of os x, I'm going with a standard copy of os x 10.5)

Last time around I couldn't install OS X because, what I think, was a partition error, os x wouldn't install side by side with my windows 7 and ubuntu and I think the reason is because the primary os was windows 7 and I was using it's boot loader to choose which os to boot into.

That being said I think mac didnít want the primary os to use an MBR.

On to the meat and potatoes, I removed windows 7 and did a clean install of ubuntu 10.04 and would like a side by side install of os x and ubuntu (for software development reasons) can create and install guide or hfs partitions for ubuntu to install to.

Has anyone here done this successfully? Anyone smell any pitfalls I may run into?
