whats with the beans?

cool thanks.. thats what i thought it was.. is there a site you can go to that shows the different levels or combinations and info on them? or do you just have to post and answer alot of questions to get different beans/coffee

The more you surf through the forums the more bean counts you get to see attached to peoples posts. It is kind of like face-book, or chatting on instant messenger, the most entertaining procrastination tool out there. My girlfriend gets mad at me when I spend too much time on the forums.:cool: :roll:

You accumulate (sp?) a bean for each post you make in the forums except for the Ubuntu Cafe I think. So when you see these people with high bean counts it means they have a lot of posts. The beans represent coffee beans, kind of the Ubuntu forums trademark :D .

I don't think you need to be a forum administrator to help people out! Plus I think you have to be invited, it's all based on some very very excusive "tap on the shoulder" system.

I hear that the moderators and administrators get together and have beach parties, living large while they sip bubbly, leave huge tips, and light cigars with $2 bills--It doesn't matter how rare they are!
