I'm a bit new to ubuntu.. I wanna try it since it's a new source of information for me.. I downloaded both the .iso file and pendrive USB maker from the site (the .ISO has an autorun.inf BTW) and when I try to install it, my netbook says :
(initramfs) Can not mount /dev/loop0 (/cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs

any help involving this problem would be much appreciated..
(PS. I downloaded the .ISO from the site 3x already)

You might try the official site:
http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download

Or you might try Unetbootin using your current iso.

You should check the iso using MD5SUM.
