Using Accessibility API

Hello.

Is there a way I can use the accessibility API to extract some information? More specifically, can I use the on-screen reader to save the text that is being read into a text file? What I would like to achieve is to be able to extract what the user sees in his screen. Any suggestions?

Just replying to bring the question up again.
I know this is possible but I don't know how and if it is possible with GNOME. Is there a way to use the Accessibility API?
