Help on Openline Huawei and Ubuntu 10.04

I can't seem to make my Huawei e1550 to work with the globe sim card that I can use with Windows. I wonder why? I already configured in on the network manager, pero wala rin. But Sun works well.

My configuration for globe is

Profile Name: Globe Braodband Prepaid
APN: http.globe.com.ph
Number: *99#

Pa add na rin po ah, paano i configure ang wammu for huawei e1550?

install udb_modeswitch, make sure that your modem is unplugged
reboot your system
once desktop is back and ready, plug your modem
go to system > preferences > network connections > mobile broadband > add
madedetect na un :)
