I have backups of my folders. I was just going to copy them over the current backups because my customized panel settings and my wireless settings somehow got wiped. I wasn't sure the best way to do this.

I was just going to completely copy over my home folder from the backup.

I didn't know if there was another folder where these settings might be kept.

Cheers.

To add it back to your pannel..

you want to right click the pannel >add to pannel> add notification area

Yeah, I know that but when I change them it still won't connect to the internet. I have to manually enter an ip and mac. Shows the stored settings but it won't connect to these and these aren't an option.

We are talking about both. Mainly ethernet is the issue now. Even when I manually enter same settings as before. It still won't work.

Can I just restore my whole home folder via copying to fix this? Or possibly have to copy over the sys folder too?
