I have ubuntu 10.04 (live) onto my bootable pen drive. But when i try installing it, ubiquity crashes. How do I install??

Check the iso file you used with its md5sum, andf then check the install media by hitting any key when you boot the live CD or usb, and go to "Check install CD" or some similar thing in the menu.

If both of those are OK you may need to use a boot option, so press F6 for those and try them one buy one.

If the MD5SUMs are correct and using the F6 options doesn't work, the alternate installer will still definitely work. Give it a try before giving up all the hopes. It is a bit advanced installation but not too difficult. And you can always use the forums to get help on that.
