I'm new to Ubuntu and I just switched over to 10.04.01 last night from vista on my laptop last night. When I had my laptop on vista OS I could connect my desktop to my laptop and use the laptop's network card to provide internet to my desktop. I was wondering if anyone can help me figure this out using Ubuntu. Like I said i'm new to ubuntu and any help or sources for help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advanced.

Just google "ubuntu internet connection sharing". This wiki (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Internet/ConnectionSharing) is a community supported document that explains how to do this. There are other wikis so if for some reason this one doesn't suit your needs please check the others.
