Has anyone thought of chnaging the default mouse cursor. That is the first thing I change after I install Breezy, to something more appealing like the Jaguar or OSX theme. I always wondered why GNOME has such hedious looking cursors comapred with KDE.
Ubuntu is one heck of OS, and should come with a signatory cursor, neat and elegant; not something that resembles an amputated hand and fingers?
Does anyone know of there is a windows (I know...) mouse cursor theme any to use in GNOME???
Dapper has made some improvment on this, but still in my view does not appeal to me. so I chnaged it.
Suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

This is the one I always end up installing:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=28310
Unpack into ~/.icons
Run System/Preferences/Mouse and change your pointer

cool, ir looks great, hybrid OSX and current dapper. Why not have this as options in the cursor selection. I have gcursor installed so it was easy to install. Thanks

Isn't the default cursor an arrow? What about it looks like an amputated hand to you?

where do you find the icons folder?? its in your home directory (the '~' symbol means 'home directory'). the reason why you can't find it because you haven't set nautilus to show hidden files. in nautilus, go to preferences and tick 'show hidden files. then you will see .icons directory in /home/<username>/
