View Full Version : [kubuntu] Amarok: Still driving me crazy

OK, I have spent the last hour trawling the net to try and work out how to get amarok to automatically play the next track in the play list.
All I get is the usual obfuscated non sense that seems to be a hallmark.
Can someone offer a short instruction that doesn't begin by telling me how great Amarok is? :(
Thanks
Yours in despair...

That's the core functionality of the product. The first thing that spings to mind is to remove your local Amarok settings. See this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=801071) thread for details.

Hi Gallows,
I really appreciate the reply. However, I'd already come across that thread in my searching for a solution. I still have the same problem after deleting the settings and restarting Amarok. Stupid thing plays one track in the list and stops.
My kingdom for for a half decent music media player that works in Linux<sigh>

Rhythmbox then? I know it's KDE but after using Amarok for years I got fed up with it running on Gnome and moved to Rhythmbox. Works well for me but I'm not as fanatical as I used to be. I must be getting older. #-o

It seems to be the only viable choice.
BTW, I just purged amorok & the ./kde/../amarok folder for the umpteenth times. Reinstalled. Now it crashes every 15 seconds or so after starting.
The log files aren't helping.
rhythmbox it is... for now.
