How to install latest Firefox browser 4 linux downloaded from the official site: firefox-3.6.8.tar.bz2
on ubuntu Jaunty?

I put back Jaunty since I had a video card issue - Intel 845GL is not supported, i guess...

Visit the mozilla PPA (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa), and then follow the instructions from there to add the ppa to your sources list.

You can then install firefox 4, and get updates daily via the update manager.

The screen card does give some trouble, but there is hope:
