System Administrator Level III
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Education:
A graduate of a college level course is required. A degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent is preferred. Actual systems and network administration experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Professional certifications plus extensive experience may also be substituted for the required education.
2.) Experience:
Four years experience in designing, evaluating, configuring, and implementing server and network systems is needed for the position.
• The four years experience must also include extensive knowledge in the following areas :◦ Experienced in implementing solutions using Open Source Technology particularly the flexibility and stability of Linux Operating System (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS and Red Hat)
◦ Open BSD's Pf for Firewall redundancy with CARP and pfsync
◦ Setup and implementation of HA Proxy, Apache and other modules likes Reverse Proxy• Working knowledge and concept in the following subjects:◦ Repository such as SVN and Git
◦ Asterisk
◦ Cloud computing• Programming and scripting experience is an advantage but not required
3.) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong foundation in networking concepts and data communication is required. Extensive knowledge of the current operating systems used by the company is required. The position also requires thorough understanding of computer hardware components being used. The successful candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills in both the hardware and software networking issues. Good communication and interpersonal skills is also needed to be able to provide satisfactory support to end-users.
