so ya i have a ubuntu 10.04 encrypted with the alternative .iso and i use it all the time but now all of a sudden i went to boot it and it says i need to run fsck to check for an error so i tryed recovery mod and i still could not get past the boot so i loaded the alternative 10.04 disk into recovery mode and then i ran fsck on my / root drive and it sayed it fixed everything but now when i boot it says kernel panic and it dose nothing but my caps lock light keeps blinking????????? and i cant evin CTRL+ALT+DEL reboot the only way for me to turn it off is to force power off by holding the power button...............no i have to format and i lost over 120GB of data this is bull **** i might just switch back to windows until ubuntu is stable enough for me to ever use......
