I set up my printer but it's connected through my brother's Vista computer so I set up the printer with the best knowledge that I have but every time it tries to print a test page (probably any other page too but didn't go that far), it asks for authentication. We don't use password protection for printing so I don't understand why it's doing that? (can you please help).

Also, for the printer, it says that it might have something that I could enable called duplexer. What's that and does an HP Deskjet All-In-One F4235 Printer have that?

Thanks for helping me through my transition to Ubuntu Linux from Windows. I know it's a big move and I appreciate the help as I make the move.

Having a similar proble,, maybe you could share some insight. I also am trying to explore Linux (Ubunto 10.04) via my laptop with a wireless card. I have a desktop that is running Windows Vista and this is where my HP F340 All-in-One printer is connected. I access the internet using al AT&T 2-wire Gateway. All is fine until I want to print from Linux through the Gateway and Vista to the HP printer. The remote print job shows up in the Windows print queue and the printer get the paper, the printer head does its thing, but the job never prints (the green lights just flashes and flashes, and .... You get the point. Any ideas?
