So the SSD included in my Acer Aspire One died. It was very slow anyway. I bought a ZIF-to-CF converter and plan to use a 533x CF card as a replacement SSD.

Which file system would you recommend ? I plan to use Ubuntu Netbook Remix, and I can't find a list of FS it supports anywhere. So it would be nice if the FS is supported by Ubuntu Netbook Remix.

I wasn't very careful last time with the filesystem, as I used a journaling one, and I think it may have aged my SSD prematurely.

Go with the tried-and-true ext2 ?
