View Full Version : [ubuntu] Port Scan shows 10080 open (not running Amanda)

If I port scan the router internally it shows port 10080 open. I'm not running Amanda. It also shows 1780 open (unknown). Scanning externally these ports show stealth.

I'd like to get some ideas on where to look next. I'm kind of at a wall here in my limited knowledge.

Thanks.

Try closing the ports in the ubuntu firewall and see if it limits your internet in anyway, if not then leave them closed for safety until they're needed?

What's Amanda?

Evidently it's a legitimate use of the port. It's backup software.
