The minimal installer is not conductive to my EeePC 1101HA. It lacks the atl1c ethernet module and the module required for the wireless chipset, and is unable to mount any storage devices ("mount: mounting /dev/sda1 on /mnt/usb failed: Invalid argument").

The 9.10 live CD encounters no problems, and I can install perfectly from there, but I wish to start with a pure command line system this time and build the rest up from there.

What can I do to install the atl1c module and proceed?

I'm trying the alternative installer presently. It is also missing the atl1c, but this should hopefully be fixable after installation. Currently is stuck at 'Install the base system', with the error 'Failed to determine the codename for the release.'

Cheers.
