View Full Version : [ubuntu] Search problem in Nautilus...

In my Ubuntu 10.04, there was a feature in nautilus, which helped me to find a file name by typing its name. Suppose I wanted to find file "Documents". Then in nautilus, if I just typed "doc" in the lower right corner a text box appeared showing the word as I am typing (I don't know the name of that feature :P ) and acted as a quick search option. Recently that box has been vanished. I didnot install any new software (except the updates).

Any one know how to get that search-box again?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Do you have a magnifying glass on the top next to the zoom and "xxxx view"?

Yeah... I have that magnifying glass. Ctrl+F1 is also working. I mean the normal search is ok, but the 'other' search (something like type-ahead-search, that means the automated search while I am typing) is missing.
