Hello All !
I'm very new to Linux & Ubuntu. Following is the configuration of my machine.
Lenovo Ideapad Y450
Intel Pentium core 2 duo 2.2GHz 64bit processor Windows 7
4GB DDR3,
320GB HDD
512MB NVDIA GEFORCE Graphic card.
I'd like to install Linux Ubuntu 10.04 latest version on my lappy. However, I'm a little skeptic about choosing between the appropriate version compatible with 64bit processor, whether to go for a 32 bit or 64 bit OS. From what I've heard, the performance has improved a long way in 64 bit with of course few loop holes as compared to 32bit. Request you to kindly guide me in this regard and let me know , what aspects of 64/32 bit is better than 32/64 bit and which would you suggest me to install on my 64bit processor.
I'd like to have Ubuntu as my dual OS with windows 7
Pardon my ignorance and would really appreciate your time !
Cheers
Nikhil
