Hi guys,

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. I was trying to shut down something in my taskbar yesterday and accidentally hit "Remove from Panel" on my volume and "mail" buttons (the mail button being the one with the dropdown menu for "Chat", "Mail" and "Broadcast").

So instead of a bar like this:

I have this (note that Empathy now has its own green speech icon instead of being integrated in the "mail" icon as above:

Is there any way I can get my mail and volume buttons back?

Thanks guys,
Aaron.

Right click on your panel -> add to panel, then add notification area.

That still doesn't bring back the mail icon, I'm afraid.

It's not the notification area, it's the 'indicator applet'. Add that. :>
