Hi...Newbie to Mac (just got my Mac mini three weeks ago)...never seen Ubuntu yet.

I have a CD on order: Ubuntu Linux Live 5.04 (Hoary) PPC BETA 4.

How well should I expect it to run...booting from the LiveCD (not installed on hard drive) ?

My mini is the 1.25gHz, 40G hard drive... with RAM upgraded to 512MB.

Thanks...

From what I read it runs fine. The major problem is that you need recompile the sound module to get sound working. And it's only partly working when you do.

Hi, Also complete Ubuntu newbie. I'm looking to get hold of a PPC LiveCD version of Ubuntu (orderd a CD from shipit and I believe its a Warty Installation disk) - could anybody point me in the correction direction. (Of course assuming there is one!).

Thanks in advance for any help.
