I am running Kubuntu 10.04 on my laptop.
When I connect the VGA adapter from my laptop to a LCD monitor, and then go to System settings and set the monitor as "extended desktop" , both the monitors (my laptop LCD and monitor LCD) flicker and garbage causes. Then both the screen instantly goes blank.. (like greyish)
At the begenning , it was not like this.. only when I changed the mode from "clone" to "extend desktop" , these kept happening and now onwards even the clone mode doesnt work either!!.
Any alternative ways I can try? Like in terminal or x config etc? Im a newbie in xorg stuff. I just heard abt those.
My gfx card is ATi Mobility Radeon HD 2300.
BTW: dual screen works smoothly in windows partition os of my laptop
