Hi,

I'm looking for a way to play audio files ( mp3 or something simple?) by using command line exclusively. Ultimately, its to be able to select and play files on a remote computer over ssh.

The second issue is that I need to test this on a server 9.04 installation, while I know the actual machine will be a desktop 10.04 installation. So - what packages do Ineed to add to the server machine to enable audio playback ( yes - it has a sound card.. just a desktop w/ server install).

I'd also like to be able to stream/schedule playback on a remote server(currently running 10.04 server), however if there isnt anything prebuilt for this then I'll avoid the complexity and sftp the mp3's across to the machine.

Thanks for any help/advice.
