View Full Version : [xubuntu] Totem - multiple instances...

Can someone give me step by step instructions on having Totem run multiple instances of its movie player... i had this going with --no-existing-sessions in ubuntu but since im on xfce i have no idea where to insert that command... thanks.

(running a minimalist 10.04 xfce4 install.)

i saw this somewhere. i am not sure if you figured it out already or not. just go to alacarte and edit the totem player properties and change the command to "totem --no-existing-session" instead of "totem %U" this will affect it when you click on it in nautilus too.

That --no-existing-session command was removed from totem since 3.x.

I made a patch for re-enabling that command. Packages for quantal are availible here:
