Needless to say, I'm confused on how to install this game in linux. I've dl'ed loki's installer(multi language 1.6.19 something or another). installed wine from synaptic. I opened the loki thing on desktop and dbl clicked it and it did something, I don't know what. I put in my BF42 disk 1 and opened the autorun.exe and it's been doing something for over an hour now. I'm running gkrellm so I can see activity.
I'm probably doing this all wrong. Could someone tell me the steps to install this game? I'm not interested in playing online just yet. Thanks.

Does it have linux installer like ut2003 or ut2004? if so copy it to the hard drive and launch from the terminal.

Sapper2ID, Wine alone probably isn't enough (unless ofcourse it's mentioned in the Loki Installer) - you will need Cedega (formally WineX). This is a commercial fork of Wine, which you can get at http://www.transgaming.com (unlike wine you have to pay for it though, unless you want to compile it from cvs). Most Loki installlers for non-native games require Cedega.

For more info on running Windows games with Wine or Cedega, try http://frankscorner.org.
