finally, we are getting some attention in the House of Repsentatives. if this bill pushes through then our government will save millions (maybe billions) in IT spendings..

please share your thoughts on this matter...

This is good news. Assuming, the savings WILL be used for other projects that our country will actually benefit from.

I've always advocated transparency in the government, especially with its spending of donations and financial aids. If they actually pushed through with this, and implementation was good, maybe there'd be some OS philosophies that can get into the House as well.

Overall, I remain pessimistic about this, its implementation and its aftermath.
