This is my first Wallpaper I have created using The Gimp.

Awesome. The silver gradient would blend in with many desktops too. :)

Could you make a 1024x786 version of this?

And you should use a lower compression, because the quality is not very good, or even better, use png.

Cool I'll try get a 1024x768 version going.
I'll also try changing the compression.
I'm a bit of a noobie to The Gimp, anyone got any good links for Gimp Tutorials ?

Its gonna be a while I'm moving tomorow. Busy sitting in a pile of boxes at the moment !!! My PC and my tooth brush are gonna be the last two things I pack! lol ! :D

Maybe the logo should be on the left of the text as on the Ubuntu website?
