I saw numerous posts here on different programs people like to edit video and some of them are able to create slide shows.

What slide show software is best on ubuntu? I cant figure out how to use them. It seems like they are embedded in the video programs. I understand the video stuff, but I dont see the slideshow options other than fade in/out/etc ....(as you can see i am new to linux)

Thanks for your help...

Hi.

Open Office Impress (http://www.openoffice.org/product/impress.html) and KPresenter (http://www.koffice.org/kpresenter/) are the best alternatives for PowerPoint.

There are lots of more. Check out these links. They always do help beginners.
