I need help.

Hi. I haven't been using Ubuntu very long at all and need help with wine. I have several gold rated games that won't run for me, even if I try the solutions from HQ. What am I missing? The games I want hep with most are: Sins Of A Solar Empire Trinity, it installed fine, but whenever I start it goes through up to the opening cinematic, then locks up completely. I have tried no solution for it because it doesn't match the errors from HQ. And Starcraft 2, I've tried unhiding from menu and terminal, but it still says "No installer data found" when I try to install. Sadly it was eaten by another computer :(, so it will be a day or 2 before I can retry. Thanks in advance.

Are the games supported?

Are you using all the latest graphics and 3d drivers?



There was some kind of update that I needed to get Oblivion working last time, and I forgot what it was.



Some people have better luck with regular wine....others do better with the apps playonlinux or winedoors. You can get them in Synaptic. Try opening up your blocked repositories.
