Hello All! I hope this is the correct place to post this message, if not let me know of a better spot. Here is my problem. I would like to help spread Ubuntu Linux as much as possible. I have a MySpace account and would like to add an image like the Kubuntu and Edubuntu pics (from Ubuntu.com homepage) to my MySpace page. I just can't find an image like that for Ubuntu. It would be nice if it had a transparent background! Does anyone know if one exists?? I have looked all over for one and no luck! Thanks for any help!

P.S. I am also trying to help spread Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird. Here are the links to the pics I am using (in case they help you understand what i am looking for):

http://sfx-images.mozilla.org/affiliates/Buttons/180x60/rediscover.gif
http://sfx-images.mozilla.org/affiliates/thunderbird/thunderbird_large.png

Notice they are both about 180x60 pixels. This seems to be the best size, not to big not to small, very effective! I think if more people had links on blogs, MySpace, etc....It would greatly help spread Ubuntu to a larger group of people who may not know about it at all! Thanks again!

I would love to help or offer advise, however... I'm not sure I understand what it is exactly that you want.
As for Spreading the Distro (anyone, heavy metal?), I have a friend who is like that, although she is mellowing on it now.
While it does actually help, law of large numbers and all of that for bug reporting, my feeling is to let it happen natuarlly. Like all good things, the cream floats to the top eventually. Particularly where craft, etc is involved.
But of course, that is just my thoughts, and should, I hope, in no way dampen your enthusism.

I too was also looking for these types of pics. Dapper flight 6 comes with all 3 logos with transparent backgrounds in the examples folder

here they are:
