Nubi here...

I've installed Mythbuntu 10.04 (combo back\front end) fresh and it is functioning good except the jerky network playback of recorded OTA HD tv. Local playback is smooth and perfect (as good as the reception that is). When playing over network to either a) laptop mythbuntu frontend or b) sony PS3, both of these systems experience the same jerkiness.

Play back is equivelant to play 2 sec, paus 1 sec, play 2 sec.

Network is wireless on all three devices, 54MB each.
It is probably pertinent to mention that SD video playback does so w/out the jerkyness.Only HD video 720i and above is what gives me the problem.

You may need to provide details / dirs for getting information you need to help me resolve my issues (mental not included...).

Thank you for your assistance!!

Wireless B is not good for HD playback.

Wireless G 108Mbps might be a better choice but it's hit or miss with brands.

You might want to try lowering the bitrate for HD recordings, Assuming you're using mpeg4 settings.

On the other hand try Wireless N setups or better yet just get cat5 or 6 cable and hook your box to the switch.
