View Full Version : Mythshutdown started segfaulting on 9.10 and rebooting not halting

July 5th, 2010, 11:26 AM
Up until last week everything was happy. Then suddenly, for no reason that I can see, (no updates applied) the box will not shutdown. It starts the shutdown procedure normally and then suddenly reboots instead of switching off.

The only thing I can find is that in the syslog there is a segfault for mythshutdown with error 7. Any suggestions for things to try?

I've seen some users solve this by moving up to 0.23 and 10.04, but I don't want to do this quite yet as I don't think my DVB-T card will work then and there are lots of reports of it not working. I'm getting a new DVB-T card soon, but would like my system working before then.
