In Gnome how do I change the icon for a file type

Hi

In Gnome how do I change the icon for a specific file type, without completing changing my icon theme.

Eg. I want all .zip files to have an icon different from the installed icon themes .zip icon

Please tell me how to do this.

You can do it with the assogiate utility. Install it using the software centre.
