Diablo III on GNU/Linux

Why am I having this feeling that Blizzard could possibly release Diablo III to GNU/Linux?

Here are why I think they would possibly make one:

They are not using DirectX
They are using Havok physics engine that is available for GNU/Linux
They are to release the game for PC and Mac platforms -- note PC, not Windows.


If my feeling is right, I'm definitely going to buy one.

I'm keeping my hopes up, though not that high. :P

Not a big fan of Diablo. But if this is true, I hope Blizzard make a lot of sales from the Linux users. That might inspire them to release their other titles on Linux too. :D

If there really are millions of GNU/Linux users out there, I'm guessing that a big portion of the population is into gaming. Provided that they are into RPG and willing to pay for a copy, Blizzard could possibly sell at least half million copies and earn about 5 million USD. (basing it on the price of Starcraft 2 which is USD60)

But who am I kidding. :(

I'm a big-freaking fan of this game... A lot of games now did originate from it.. If it indeed the first mainstream game to have come up with such idea, I'd definitely would see a lot of other games doing the same thing years from now...

Been waiting for almost two years now for it to officially come out... Can it have a pre-release already..?

though i outgrown blizzard games, been playing for a decade. im into fb browser games for casual and console gaming for high end.

the last time i tried to play another pc game, it crashed.
so good bye pc games, and thanks to windows for teaching me to quit.

Sana nga. Since retail product naman yung games ng Blizzard, sana naman inconsider din nila yung number ng users na gumagamit ng open source operating system / softwares.

If ever man na hindi mag karoon ng Linux Version ang Diablo 3 sana compatible din sya sa WINE tulad ng Starcraft 2. ^_^
