Exchange with thunderbird?

Hey all, I've searched high and low for an answer, I thought you guys could help. Is there a way of getting exchange support on thunderbird. I would use IMAP but its not configured on the server.

I don't think so. You can use Evolution with the MAPI plugin, though

you could try DavMail (http://davmail.sourceforge.net/) though I have found it to be rather slow when I'm running it on my laptop and I believe it would be better if it is installed on the server with exchange, but that may not be an option.
