I assume you don't have enough ports on you current cable box or router. Try a new router, that will give you the extra port for your wired laptop here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320026).
Respond back if this isn't the solution you need. Also, instead of creating new threads, just make a new post, maybe giving a more info on your problem or just typing "Bump".

Please do not cross post, or post the same thing in multiple locations.
The other threads (by the same name) have been removed. "Bump" this one, if necessary (no more than once/day, please).

Here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/ShareEthernetConnectionThroughWireless) is a help page for wireless ICS (Internet/Connection-sharing). Hope it helps... :)

you will have to reconfigure the Ethernet port on the computer with Internet as a residential gateway. hink i have how to do that saved on my other computer. let me know if you still need it after this. google "how t share internet fro m computer to computer" some good links should come up.
