Hello everybody!

I know it's not really ubuntu-related but here it's easier to find good hackers than on other forums...

I have this little and sweet bondi blue (233 mhz clocked to 300) and the cdrom's dead.

I want to pop in temporarily a normal atapi cdrom from the windows world so I got a flat cable, I've stealed the alimentation from a pc and I started both.

I can't boot from that device...

I guess it's jumper-related...

Do I have to use Cable select on both?
Cdrom master and hd slave?

If anybody can help god bless him :)

Maybe this guide can help you. I can't open the guide, but maybe it's because I am behind a firewall here.

I do thank you and appreciate your help but that's a standard apple service guide so there's nothing "against imac nature" in there :)
