Okay, so I just installed Xubuntu onto my Compaq laptop today (first time using Linux so please keep it simple!). It's a dual boot up system; I can still access XP. If I chose to XP, then my laptop recognizes the wireless network in range and I can get on the internet. But if I get on Xubuntu, then the NetworkManager doesn't pickup anything! It just says that the wireless and wired networks are disconnected. Which is definitely not the case - because then Windows wouldn't be accessing the internet, right? Does anyone know what the problem may be? and how to fix it? Thanks.
